Introductions Les Onglous Lighthouse – N(1/160) Scale Model Landmark:
The Phare des Onglous is located at the end of a small breakwater that marks the end of the Canal du Midi in Southern France.
The Canal du Midi is a 240km long hydraulic work that creates a navigable waterway between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Built in the 17th century, it is one of the most remarkable engineering works of its time. Today it is inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage Site
The lighthouse is a small white and red cylindrical tower with a height of 11m (36ft). It flashes a light with white / red sectors.
The model was designed using pictures and detailed drawing of the actual building in scale 1/160 (N scale).
You can resize it using your favourite software before print, however, if you do so, some of the parts may lose stability or look over scaled.
Model has 7 different pieces that you need to assembly as any other model kit: I attached an instruction booklet together with the downloaded files. Printing, painting and weathering will give a lot of fun.
This model can be a great addition to your layout or diorama.
