DEMIGUISE STATUE TEA LIGHT 3D MODEL (HOGWARTS LEGACY)

Introductions Demiguise Statue Tea Light 3D Model:

This is a remix of the demiguise statue. I have divided the model into 3 parts so that the sphere can be printed in a different color. I also have made this model so that a tea light fits (scaled at 100%). You could also turn this into a cord lamp if printed larger. Another creator Y3D, has a more divided model designed as a lamp that is available for purchase if you want more options than my remix provides.

3D Model Settings:

Scale: ≥100% (100% = 97mm tall x 67mm diameter base) Printing smaller than the 100% scale may result in arms or fingers breaking off with support structures. BASE (printed upside down) Infill: ~10% to help minimize warping on the top of the print (bottom of the model). Brim and Support: Neither. If you encounter warping, try turning off fan for first 10-20 layers. You could use a brim but it will reduce quality of print. TOP Infill: ≥15% to insure top looks good and arms are strong. Brim and Support: Support only, no brim. You will need either auto supports or paint-on supports. I recommend using Line/grid type (organic/tree types not the best for undersides). If you use paint-on supports you need to support the underside of the arms and under the head. SPHERE !!Make sure that the seam for the sphere is on the center backside!! Not the edge where it transitions to the flat part but the back flat side, centered. Otherwise the ridge created by the seam makes it difficult to rotate into position. Alternatively you can always sand the ridge down or pare it off with a knife if its a problem. Infill: 0-5% unless you want it more opaque. I printed mine in regular blue PLA and it was transparent enough. Brim and Support: Both. I suggest auto or paint-on supports of the tree/organic type as these are easier to remove and the underside of the inside of the sphere will not be visible. I had a difficult time removing the grid support from mine (see photos) and I do not recommend it. Walls & Top/bottom I printed the model with bottom=3 layers, top=4 layers, and 3 layer walls. It feels strong and durable with these settings due to the way I hollowed out the model. *IF YOU USE TRICOLOR OR DUAL COLOR FILAMENT FOR THE TOP AND BOTTOM, PRINT THEM TOGETHER AND ROTATE THE BASE SO THAT THE COLORS WILL ALIGN. How to assemble: 1.You will notice that the sphere model is not a perfectly round. This is to make it able to fit where it needs to without further dividing the model up. See the photo that explains how to get the sphere into the top part. There is a trick to it. If it will not rotate, try sanding off the seam (print the sphere with the seam on the center of the back flat part). 2.After the sphere is positioned, then glue the top part to the base. Use the tail parts to help align and view the front to make sure its evenly placed. I used E600 glue and it works great. 3.A tea-light can be placed under the base or glued into place. The flickering type tealights are not bright enough. I used a color-changing one I had that looked much better.
